Athasbasca Regional Multiplex

In December of 2001, a Needs Assessment and Development Strategy was commissioned by the Athabasca Regional Recreation Board, which recommended the construction of a new multi-purpose recreation facility allowing for the consolidation of existing recreation components as well as introducing new recreational opportunities to the region. The project includes one ice arena, a four sheet curling rink, an indoor fieldhouse with three lane running track and a variety of support spaces including meeting rooms, retail space, a community hall, fitness area and daycare facility.
