This project involved the design and construction of a new 900 student capacity K-9 school in Spruce Grove. The design of Copperhaven School is based off a Core School Design provided by Alberta Infrastructure and Alberta Education. The design also allows for additional modular classrooms to be added in the future. Even through the overall design of the project is based off the Core School Design provided by A.I and A.E, the programming, function and layout of the plans has been modified to suit the needs and requirements of the school division, school staff and the community of Spruce Grove to meet 21st century learning requirements.
