Enoch Cree Nation School
This K-12 school located in the center of the Enoch First Nation has a student capacity of 422 students. The building design represents both the modern image and traditional beliefs of the Enoch Nation, creating a functional and inspirational learning environment that ties the past to the present. School highlights include: a Preschool room, 2 Kindergarten spaces, 15 Classrooms, Learning Centre, Cultural tepee , Music Room, Foods/Cosmetology, Industrial Arts lab, Learning Common, Elders Lounge, and a 2 station Gym. The building is designed as a secondary Community Centre. Major Gathering Spaces, a Theatre Stage and Commercial Kitchen are designed to open and expand for large Community functions. The building is highlighted by an abundance of glass to allow views between spaces, and to the outside.
“Over 43 members of the Community were employed during the construction of the school. These members gained over 18,000 total man-hours of construction related experience. Some members received enough hours to receive their journeyman accreditation.
