Grimshaw Shared School Facility
This project involved the design and construction of a new 550 student capacity K-12 school (Grimshaw Jr./Sr. High School and Kennedy Elementary Consolidation) for the Peace River Public School Division and a 350 student capacity K-9 school (Holy Family Replacement School) for the Holy Family Catholic Regional Division. The project was a combined school with shared spaces utilized by students from each school were district and the community, however, each school had separate entrances and spaces that were unique to each facility. The facility was constructed adjacent to the existing Mile Zone Recreation Centre and also involved the construction of a new community library and performing arts space to provide a unique joint-use facility that would act as a true community hub for the Town of Grimshaw.
