Jasper Junior/Senior High School – Ecole Desrocher (Bridging Consultant)
The Workun Garrick Partnership was selected as the Bridging Consultant for the proposed replacement of the existing Jasper Junior/Senior High School, to create a new joint use facility to be shared by both the Grande Yellowhead Public School Division (Jasper Junior/Senior High School) and the Conseil scolaire Centre-Nord (École Desrochers).
The intent was to construct a new joint use facility on the site currently occupied by the Dog Park adjacent to the current school site, and demolish the existing school facility once construction of the new facility is complete. The existing school site was turned over to the Municipality of Jasper to create a new park.
In general the proposed scope of work is as follows: construction of a new 150 student capacity K-12 school (École Desrochers) for the Greater North Central Francophone Education Region and a 375 student capacity 7-12 school (Jasper Jr/Sr High School) for the Grande Yellowhead Public School Division.
The project created a combined school with shared spaces used by students from each school district, but also with separate entrances and unique spaces to each school division.
